Circle dance is an international form of traditional dance, with particularly strong roots in the Balkans. Some of our dances use modern music and/or modern steps. The music ranges from meditative to lively.
As the name suggests, we dance in a circle, not with partners. We usually hold hands (right hand facing up, left hand facing down). Its relaxed pace makes it accessible for those with mobility issues.
Traditions of Circle Dance exists in conjunction with Watford Circle Dance which, though not a u3a group, includes a good number of u3a members.
