We will build up a set of song sheets over time.

Purpose of this group
To play and sing together songs from the 1960s pop music scene, principally those of The Beatles, but also their peer bands from that era. Instruments will include acoustic guitars and any other complementary instruments used by those bands e.g. bass guitar, organ, drums, harmonica, tambourine etc. Sorry but ukuleles will not be included – they are already well catered for by other study groups.
The primary aim is to enjoy ourselves, to improve our performance skills (even if we are only performing to ourselves) and to learn new things. Our own efforts will no doubt make us better appreciate just how versatile and talented The Beatles were in their writing, their playing and their singing.
Operation
We will meet once a month, initially at Dave Cadd’s house. If other members' homes or external venues look feasible we will change or alternate. In particular, if the interest and membership grows we will need to seek an external venue.
We will choose what to play from our song sheets or just sing along to any songs that the guitar players play from memory.
